Joseph Benavente
I began my journey in landscaping at just 16 years old, mowing lawns and planting flowers, quickly discovering a passion for transforming outdoor spaces. At 17, I took the first step toward building my own business by starting Benavente Landscaping.
Driven to deepen my knowledge and refine my craft, I enrolled at Delaware Valley University, where I earned a degree in Landscape Design-Build with a specialization in Plant Science. During and after college, I had the opportunity to work for one of the top landscape design firms in Northern New Jersey, gaining hands-on experience at the highest level of the industry.
In 2021, I rebranded to Benavente Landscape Design to focus on what I’m most passionate about—designing and building exceptional outdoor environments. The combination of formal education and real-world experience has shaped my approach, allowing me to deliver thoughtful, high-quality work with confidence and precision.
Outside of work, I enjoy traveling, hiking, going to the beach, and spending time with my family.
